Buffalo Wild Wings (BWW) rolled out their Blazin’ Rewards loyalty program nationwide. Previously it was only available in select test markets.
User earns 100 points per $10 in spend. Spend under $10 doesn’t earn points. Spend over $20 will earn 200 points, over $30 will earn 300 points, etc.
Points can be redeemed for many different food items from the store (currently, 44 items available). I’m not sure what the exact points value is, but from eyeballing it looks to be around 1/2 cents-per-point. Hopefully, a BWW expert can chime in with better figures and best value options.
If we figure 1/2 cent-per-point redemption, it amounts to 5% back in rewards which is a nice bonus. You won’t end up with quite that amount since it’s rounded to the $10 mark, so if you regularly spend somewhere in the $15 area, for example, it’ll be more like 3-4% rewards.
There are a few other ways to earn points besides spend. Here’s the full list of ways:
- Ordering food and drinks at a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant, including through takeout
- Checking in at Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants through the Blazin’ Rewards app earns 10 points, and when you check in with friends, you’ll receive 10 additional points per friend (maximum 250 points per week)
- Filling out your Interests page on the Blazin’ Rewards website or app
- Frequent visits to a participating Buffalo Wild Wings during lunch earns 300 bonus points on every fifth lunch visit
- Exclusive bonus point earning opportunities and offers via email

Approximately 2 years ago my husband and i started the rewards and earned over 4000 points. Which tells you how often we’re there. The problem we have had is trying to use them. Every time we’ve tried can’t get in, have to change password, something has changed on website. Never have had so many problems. Super unhappy. The staff is always ready to jump in and help. That’s never the problem. Its the extremely difficult and time consuming bull we have to endure just to use the points. Plus this last time we got in i wanted to show we had 4420 points and it jumped down to 660. No orders. Just decided we don’t have that many i guess. Anyways.. very disappointed

I’ve been earning on this for a few months now in the Madison, WI area and I can confirm it’s quite lucrative. Haven’t done the math on optimum reward redemptions, but they all seem pretty equivalent. I’m particularly fond of pairing this with a BWW gift card purchased at Staples or OD with my Ink+ card.

Seems like everybody has a rewards program now…
What’s next, the DMV? Sign up for a “premium” driver’s license and earn gold status with 25% faster queue times

the P.F chang program is actually good. And RA sushi bar send you $10 and $20 with no string attached or minimums (mon-thurs only though) very often 🙂

Meh. Their old system with the punch cards was better. It was 5 or 6 meals got you $5 off your next meal. Didn’t have to spend $10 either. Plus if you have a regular server like we did, you’d get two or three punches every visit!

Looks like 100 points per $10 spend which makes it somewhat interesting
